Data from the Social Research Foundation (SRF) shows that ANC voters overwhelmingly support the GNU.
The data drawn from a 2025 survey showed that 26% of ANC voters believed the GNU was a mistake compared to 65% who believed the GNU "is essential for South Africa to succeed, it brings stability and a better chance of service delivery [and that] the GNU must succeed if South Africa’s future is going to be prosperous".
