Data from RealClearPolling shows that Donald Trump’s approval rating in the United States remained largely constant through August and September.
On 1 August 2025, 46% of Americans approved of their president’s performance, with 51% disapproving. On 1 September, the (rounded) data sat at exactly the same level.
The assassination of Charlie Kirk, and how that is handled by the White House, is expected to have an impact on these numbers, with expectations that they will lift President Trump’s approval rating.
