Japan and Saudi Arabia reaffirmed and broadened their strategic partnership at the 8th Ministerial Meeting of Japan-Saudi Vision 2030 (JSV 2030), held in Tokyo. Senior officials from both governments reviewed progress since their last ministerial talks and discussed fresh opportunities for collaboration in investment, technology, and cultural exchange.

Welcoming the Saudi delegation, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hisayuki Fujii celebrated 70 years of diplomatic relations and praised the robust cooperation achieved under the JSV 2030 framework. The meeting highlighted ongoing initiatives in people-to-people exchange, education, research, sports, and culture, sectors that both countries see as critical to the long-term transformation envisioned by JSV 2030.

As both sides look to future cooperation, the Tokyo talks affirmed that economic diversification and cultural partnership will anchor the Japan-Saudi relationship for the next decade.
