Political party ActionSA has announced Xolani Khumalo as its candidate for mayor of Ekurhuleni. The party said, "Khumalo is a fearless, ethical leader who is ready to reclaim the city from criminals, provide basic services, and ensure growth and jobs." Mr Khumalo has worked as an actor on television.
