DA To Lay Public Protector Complaint Over PRASA’s R3.5bn Scandal

The Democratic Alliance (DA) will today lodge a complaint with the Public Protector against the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) over what it says is a R3.5 billion scandal. The party alleges taxpayers’ money has been abused and misspent, citing findings from recent oversight inspections. DA Deputy Spokesperson on Transport, Thami Mabhena MP, is due to file the complaint at the Public Protector’s national office at 13h00 today.
