A 2022 SRF survey shows voters rank the DA above the ANC and EFF on policies, leadership, and accountability, following Ramaphosa’s remarks.

Following Cyril Ramaphosa’s surprise endorsement of the DA’s governance record, The Common Sense revisited 2022 polling from the Social Research Foundation (SRF) that tested voter opinion on party policies and governance records.

Gabriel Makin told The Common Sense that in the SRF survey on which party has the best policies, 29.5% of voters chose the DA, followed by 28.6% for the ANC. The EFF came in third, with 12.9% of voters saying its policies were the best.

On the question of which party provides the best leadership, the DA topped the list with 30%, followed by the ANC at 26.2% and the EFF at 16.2%.

When asked which party provides the most accountability, the same order held, with the DA at 33.8%, the ANC at 26% and the EFF at 17.6%.
