Chelsea vs Fulham
Prediction: Chelsea 2 Fulham 0 | Actual: Chelsea 2 Fulham 0
Score: 3 pts - Goal.
We called Chelsea to control this derby, and they did. João Pedro’s header settled the first half and Enzo Fernández’s penalty after the break sealed a composed Chelsea win. VAR was prominent, with a Fulham goal ruled out and a penalty decision provoking protest.

Manchester United vs Burnley
Prediction: Manchester United 2 Burnley 1 | Actual: Manchester United 3 Burnley 2 | Score: 2 pts - Post and Out.
We got the winner and the one-goal margin right, but not the exact score. United looked dominant at times, yet Burnley twice dragged themselves back into it before Bruno Fernandes’ stoppage-time penalty finished the job. The late drama underlined the team’s fragility and resilience in equal measure.

Sunderland vs Brentford
Prediction: Sunderland 1 Brentford 1 | Actual: Sunderland 2 Brentford 1
Score: 0.5 pts - Close but Wrong.
We expected a draw in a tight game; instead Sunderland nicked it late. Wilson Isidor’s last-gasp header turned the match on its head after Brentford had taken the lead. Our preview was right about a nervy finish, even if we under-estimated the winner.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth
Prediction: Tottenham 2 Bournemouth 0 | Actual: Tottenham 0 Bournemouth 1
Score: 0 pts - Sacked in the morning.
We tipped Spurs to win by two, but Bournemouth struck early and played really well creating a plethora of chances. A deflected goal settled a game in which Spurs had the bulk of the possession but few clear chances. Our read on Spurs’ attacking sharpness proved optimistic.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2–3 Everton
Prediction: Wolves 0 Everton 0 | Actual: Wolves 2 Everton 3
Score: 0.5 pts - Close but Wrong.
We forecast a tight stalemate, but the match produced five goals and a late edge for Everton. Jack Grealish’s creative influence was decisive, and Everton held on despite scares. We guessed a close game; we underestimated the both teams ability to put the ball in the back of the net.

Leeds vs Newcastle
Prediction: Leeds 1 Newcastle 3 | Actual: Leeds 0 Newcastle 0
Score: 0 pts - Sacked in the morning.
We expected an open contest with goals for Newcastle, but the game ended goalless. Chances were scarce and both sides failed to find the cutting edge. Our expectation of a free-flowing away win did not materialise. A goal would have changed the games complexation entirely.

Brighton vs Manchester City
Prediction: Brighton 1 Manchester City 2 | Actual: Brighton 2 Manchester City 1
Score: 0 pts - Sacked in the morning.
Sacked in the morning is quite harsh as we thought the game would be in the balance and decided by a late winner. We tipped City to sneak it late, Brajan Gruda’s decisive finish completed the turnaround after a Milner penalty had levelled matters leaving us with 0 points.

Nottingham Forest vs West Ham
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 3 West Ham 1 | Actual: Nottingham Forest 0 West Ham 3 Score: 0 pts - Sacked in the morning.
We’d anticipated Forest to take advantage of West Ham’s less than convincing start to the season. Instead, West Ham produced a late three-goal burst, with Bowen, Paquetá from the spot, and Callum Wilson turning the contest in the closing stages.

Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace
Prediction: Aston Villa 1 Crystal Palace 1 | Actual: Aston Villa 0 Crystal Palace 3
Score: 0 pts - Sacked in the morning.
We forecast a draw between two middle of the table sides, but Palace dominated and Marc Guéhi’s strike was the highlight. Palace were clinical and whilst Villa’s ongoing scoring problems were there for all to see.

Liverpool vs Arsenal (Game of the Week)
Prediction: Liverpool 1 Arsenal 3 | Actual: Liverpool 1 Arsenal 0 |
Score: 0 pts — Sacked in the morning.
We previewed Liverpool v Arsenal as a breathless, high-scoring affair, but the contest turned into a low-key, high-stakes tactical chess match with arsenal struggling to carve out the clear chances we expected. Liverpool’s decisive moment came from a moment of individual brilliance. Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick was the match’s turning point; it landed with pace and precision and proved unanswerable. Arsenal’s forwards were subdued and Saka’s absence was telling.
