The Equality Court has dismissed a R10 million claim brought by a Cape Town businessman against the Financial Sector Conduct Authority. The court rejected arguments that a Covid 19 presidential pardon should have restored his suspended financial services provider licence.

Judge Mas Udah Pangarker ruled the discrimination claim lacked merit and struck the matter from the roll.
