A Limpopo sergeant shot and killed a 31-year-old female constable inside the Ritavi police station in Nkowankowa on Monday before turning the gun on himself. Police say the incident followed a domestic dispute, with both officers declared dead at the scene.

Provincial commissioner Thembi Hadebe condemned the killing during 16 Days of Activism and urged SAPS members facing emotional strain to seek support. A murder case and inquest have been opened as investigators review CCTV footage and witness statements.
