The Western Cape High Court has ordered Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa to pay more than R6.4 million to a Gugulethu man who lost his lower right leg after being pushed from a moving train in 2013.
The court found Prasa liable for failing to ensure passenger safety. Acting Judge Fareed Moosa ruled the damages must cover lifelong medical care, prosthetics, transport costs, and loss of earnings.
