Hyprop says its R805 million deal to sell a 50% stake in Hyde Park Corner has been terminated after the buyer failed to meet certain conditions, leaving the group with full ownership of the northern Johannesburg mall.

Hyprop says the collapse is not all bad, pointing to improving operations at the centre and ongoing upgrades, including an integrated battery and solar PV project intended to lift income once completed.
