Google has announced a partnership with prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi to bring real-time probability data to its Search and Google Finance functions.

Users searching questions such as “Who will win the 2028 election?” or “Will inflation rise above 3%?” will see probabilities derived from active trading rather than static news or historical records.

Polymarket and Kalshi are regulated platforms where users bet on political, economic, and social outcomes. Polymarket focuses on elections, finance, and social events, while Kalshi offers bets tied to macroeconomic indicators and measurable outcomes. Trading on these platforms produces collective probabilities that reflect market sentiment.

The partnership gives both platforms validation from Google, helping legitimise a market that has sometimes been criticised as speculative or akin to gambling. Prediction data, once confined to niche crypto markets, is increasingly used by analysts and traders as an alternative signal for economic and political risk.

Integrating this data into Google marks a step in the merging of speculative and informational markets. Probabilistic insights now sit alongside conventional facts, giving users a crowd-informed perspective on uncertainty.
