At least 21 people were killed and around 70 injured after two passenger trains collided in southern Spain, near the town of Adamuz in Córdoba. Emergency services described a chaotic night rescue operation, with survivors pulled from wrecked carriages.

Passengers told local media the scene felt like a “horror movie”, as carriages derailed and smashed together. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, which remains unclear.
