Australia will tighten hate speech laws after the Bondi Beach massacre, where 15 people were killed at a Hanukkah event. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said penalties will rise.
The package includes new aggravated offences, tougher action on extremist preachers and powers to cancel or refuse visas for people who promote hatred. The government says it wants fast passage and could recall parliament.
