Cape Town Moves Ahead With R885m Convention Centre Sale

The City of Cape Town has taken the next step toward selling its majority stake in the Cape Town International Convention Centre, beginning a process to test market interest. The stake is valued at about R885m.

City officials say the venue will remain a convention centre and the land will stay city-owned, with proceeds earmarked for infrastructure and service delivery.
