City Power has launched a crackdown on illegal mining operations in Johannesburg, targeting areas like Mondeor and Kibler Park. The operation uncovered stolen electricity being used to power illegal mining activities. Authorities confiscated 120 000 kg of stolen cable and found fraudulent connections, resulting in penalties for offenders.
