Two men were shot dead within minutes of each other near the Athlone Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon. One man, aged 32, was gunned down outside the court, and a second, aged 31, was killed nearby shortly after. Police have opened murder cases and are investigating potential gang involvement. This marks the third shooting outside the court this year.
