G20 Convoys Disrupt Routes to Gauteng’s Major Airports

Gauteng motorists are facing heavy delays today as G20 delegations depart through OR Tambo International, Lanseria Airport, and Air Force Base Waterkloof. SAPS and JMPD have confirmed rolling VIP convoys and intermittent full closures on key highways feeding the three hubs.

The R21, N12, and N3 around OR Tambo are seeing the most pressure, while Waterkloof-bound routes on the N1, R21, and N14 face repeated stoppages. Lanseria traffic is also affected along the R512 corridor as security movements continue.
