The Gauteng government has condemned the vandalism of G20 signage and streetlights near the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg just days before the summit. Premier Panyaza Lesufi said the acts appear to be deliberate sabotage aimed at disrupting preparations and damaging South Africa’s image.

Security agencies are investigating, and officials warn anyone found guilty could face severe penalties under the Criminal Matters Amendment Act. No arrests have been reported yet as authorities promise zero tolerance for further disruption.
