An elderly traditional healer was shot dead outside his home in Nwa Khuwani village near Giyani after a gunman allegedly posed as a police detective. The suspect reportedly called the victim outside before opening fire.

Police have launched a manhunt and are appealing for information. An investigation into the motive for the killing is under way.
