A landslide triggered by heavy rain struck three villages in Central Java’s Cilacap district in Indonesia, killing at least two people and leaving more than 20 missing. Homes were buried under mud and debris as rescue teams worked through unstable terrain to reach survivors.

Indonesia’s disaster agency says more than twenty people have been rescued so far, with evacuations underway in nearby areas at risk of further slides. Authorities warn that continued rain could complicate search efforts and increase danger in the affected villages.
