Limpopo police have warned residents against taking the law into their own hands after a Zimbabwean man, accused by community members of stealing electric cables, was assaulted in Lefara Village, near Tzaneen, and later died in hospital.

Police said a murder case has been opened and urged anyone with information to come forward, warning that mob justice will lead to arrests.
