Madlanga Commission Begins New Phase as Key Witness Testifies

The Madlanga Commission entered a new phase today as North West businessman Brown Mogotsi took the stand in Pretoria. His testimony opens the period where individuals implicated in earlier evidence respond to allegations of criminality, political interference, and corruption in the criminal justice system.

Judge Mbuyiseli Madlanga also criticised the recent transfer of 121 KwaZulu Natal dockets to Pretoria as nonsensical. Meanwhile, the City of Ekurhuleni has launched an internal probe into officials named in the commission’s earlier proceedings.
