Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala has denied any involvement in a suspected drug ring while testifying before Parliament’s ad hoc committee. He rejected claims that he was connected to criminal networks or that his companies benefitted from corrupt tender manipulation.

His denial follows earlier testimony from senior police officials who alleged that Matlala was linked to a broader criminal cartel involved in serious organised crime. The committee is continuing its inquiry into these allegations.
