French prosecutors say the suspect arrested after three women were stabbed on the Paris Metro has been transferred from police custody to a psychiatric hospital following a medical assessment. The investigation continues.

The attacks happened on 26 December at three stations on line 3, including République, Arts et Métiers, and Opéra. The victims were treated for injuries, and police detained the suspect later that day.
