A long-distance Makalala Trans bus travelling from Mthatha to Cape Town came under gunfire on the R61 between Cofimvaba and Ngcobo in the Eastern Cape at about 4pm yesterday. One female passenger was killed and two other passengers, including the co-driver, were wounded and taken to hospital.
