The SIU has secured a Special Tribunal preservation order freezing R2.7 million plus interest in the bank account of Tintswalo Patience Chauke, linked to proceeds from a property sale allegedly tied to misused National Lotteries Commission grant funding.

The unit says the funds trace to land received in a 2021 divorce settlement from Alfred Muzwakhe Sigudla, linked to an NLC-funded NGO. The SIU is preparing a review to cancel the grant and recover money.
