A stolen Fabergé pendant worth NZ$33 000 (about R320 000) has been recovered after a suspect swallowed it to evade detection. The limited‑edition, Bond‑inspired piece was passed naturally by the 32‑year‑old man after six days. Police had been monitoring him closely during the waiting period.

The suspect, arrested at an Auckland jewellery store, remains in custody, facing theft charges.
