British police have identified 32-year-old Anthony Williams from Peterborough as the suspect in the Cambridgeshire train stabbing. He allegedly boarded a London North Eastern Railway service on 1 November and attacked passengers between Peterborough and Huntingdon, injuring eleven people, two critically. Police say the case is not being treated as terrorism.
Williams initially faced ten attempted murder charges linked to the attack, along with a separate charge from an alleged knife incident on a Docklands Light Railway train the day before. Prosecutors have since added more attempted murder counts and charges connected to earlier knife attacks, widening the scope of the investigation.
