Thailand Airstrikes Hit Cambodia as Border Truce Collapses

Thailand launched airstrikes on Cambodian positions this morning after a Thai soldier was killed in fresh border clashes. Bangkok accused Phnom Penh of massing heavy weapons near Ubon Ratchathani, prompting strikes on reported Cambodian military sites as fighting escalated along the frontier.

Cambodia denied provoking the confrontation and reported civilian injuries and evacuations in its northern provinces. The renewed violence has shattered the ceasefire negotiated last month and raised fears of a wider regional escalation.
