Three South African Police Service officers in Mpumalanga have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the death of a motorist, according to the Independent Police Investigative Directorate. The man reportedly died after an encounter with the officers, prompting a criminal investigation.

IPID confirmed that the officers have been taken into custody and will face charges relating to the death. They are expected to appear in court, with authorities emphasising that police members accused of criminal conduct will be held accountable.
