Two children, aged nine and 12, have tragically drowned at a dam in the Schaapkraal area of the Western Cape. The boys were found in distress in the water on Sunday, and emergency services later recovered their bodies.

An inquest has been opened, with authorities set to conduct a post‑mortem to determine the cause of death.
