US President Donald Trump said a potential military operation linked to Colombia “sounds good” when asked about expanding US action against drug trafficking. His remarks followed questions about regional security after recent US operations in Latin America.

Trump also warned Mexico to “get their act together” on cartels and border control, saying he has offered US military assistance before and expects tougher cooperation to curb narcotics flowing into the United States.
