US President Donald Trump said he still hopes to reach a deal with Iran, after Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned a US attack would trigger a wider regional war.

The comments come amid heightened tensions and fresh US military deployments, while Trump says talks are planned and Iran’s parliament has threatened retaliation after European Union moves against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
