Tshwane Hit by Major Power Outage

A large power outage struck Tshwanethis morning, cutting electricity to large sections of the city centre, including the Union Buildings precinct, parts of the CBD, and several nearby suburbs. Technicians began urgent fault-finding operations to identify the cause of the disruption.

City officials said repair teams were dispatched immediately, but no estimated restoration time has been provided. The outage, unrelated to national load shedding, caused traffic delays and left public offices reliant on backup systems as efforts continued to restore supply.
