Vodacom has signed a deal with Starlink to use its low-Earth-orbit satellites for network backhaul and to resell Starlink services to business clients across Africa. The move aims to boost broadband coverage in remote areas and strengthen Vodacom’s rural network reach.

In South Africa, consumer access remains subject to ICASA approval, but the enterprise rollout is proceeding. The partnership marks a major step toward closing Africa’s digital-connectivity gap.
