The South African Community of Faith-Based Fraternals and Federations (SACOFF) has issued a statement commending the Presidency and Cabinet for what it calls steadfast leadership during a period of intense global scrutiny. SACOFF is led by Pastor Bert Pretorius, who is also the Chairperson of 3C Family Churches.

In its statement, SACOFF said the South African delegation had shown composure and principled resolve despite heightened international tensions. Pastor Pretorius stated that: “South Africa is home to many cultures, languages, and histories - and yes, as a diverse nation, we may debate and disagree as family. But when the moment calls for unity, South Africa stands shoulder to shoulder.” He added that attempts to paint the country negatively: “do not reflect the true picture of our nation.”

SACOFF placed particular emphasis on global moves toward debt relief for poorer nations. Pastor Pretorius said that: “Millions across the Global South remain enslaved not by military occupation but by economic chains. The call for debt restructuring and relief is not just a financial matter - it is a moral, humanitarian, and justice mandate.” The organisation also welcomed South Africa’s decision to host the forthcoming Debt Reform Summit, saying it presents a significant opportunity for African-driven solutions.

The statement concluded with Pastor Pretorius’s call for unity and dignity across the continent: “The future of Africa must not be one of dependency, but one of dignity. Divided, we fall - but united, we will rise, build, and succeed. Where there is team, there is conquest.”
