He says that for many black South Africans the DA is seen as an alien party led by people they struggle to identify with. He says that for the DA to challenge the ANC it needs to grow in "black and coloured" areas. He explains why its an advantage sometimes to be black and in the DA, because he cannot be accused of racism for raising important national policy questions. He also proposes a bold new foreign policy approach for the DA.
