South Africa has fully transitioned into coalition country. Around half of the country’s 213 municipalities are likely to be hung after November’s local government elections, and polling by The Common Sense and the Social Research Foundation shows voters have already chosen the fix: 67% of all voters, and 82% of ANC supporters, back the ANC and DA governing together in municipalities where no single party wins a majority.
