US Shoots Down Iranian Drone in “Self-Defence” Near Aircraft Carrier

United States military said it shot down an Iranian drone that approached an aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea, describing the action as self-defence to protect the vessel and its crew amid heightened regional tensions.

The drone was destroyed after exhibiting what US officials called aggressive behaviour near the USS Abraham Lincoln. No injuries or damage were reported, while Iran has yet to issue a detailed response.
