Apple became the third company in history to be valued at more than $4 trillion. It crossed the milestone for the first time on Tuesday, joining Microsoft and Nvidia as the only companies in history to be valued at this level.
The iPhone maker’s surge follows strong sales of its iPhone 17 lineup and consistent market gains since reaching $1 trillion in 2018. Microsoft which first hit $4 trillion in July before falling back again, regained the mark this week after signing a new agreement with OpenAI. Microsoft’s 27% stake in the artificial intelligence firm is valued at about $135 billion.
Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is trading at about $3.25 trillion and could be next to join the $4 trillion club.
