Elderly Man Caught With R450k Worth of Dagga in Eastern Cape Bust

A 72-year-old man was arrested in Nxuba in the Eastern Cape after police seized dagga valued at more than R450 000 during an intelligence led operation. Officers stopped a Toyota Corolla after receiving information about drugs being transported in the area.

Police said six large garden bags and one small bag of dagga were found in the vehicle, along with a cellphone. The car was seized and the suspect is expected to face charges linked to possession, dealing, and transporting drugs.
