Eskom Rules Out Blackouts After Koeberg Line Fault

Eskom says there is no risk of load shedding after both Koeberg units were safely reduced to 100MW each on Tuesday following a fault on 132kV transmission lines supplied from the Pinotage substation near Stellenbosch.

The utility says the reactors were not affected and the National Nuclear Regulator was informed. It says ramping back toward full output was approved because national generation reserves are adequate.
