FirstRand Bank has lost a R108 000 claim against a Durban man after the KwaZulu-Natal High Court found it failed to account for part of his home loan repayment.

The court ruled the bank did not properly reflect a R114 000 payment in its records and had therefore not proven the borrower was in arrears.
