The Western Cape High Court has ordered former Cellucity employee Sharlene Phillipson Garcia to pay the company more than R50.68 million, plus interest and costs, after Cellucity alleged she stole at least R70 million over roughly eight years.

Court papers say the funds were channelled through a company linked to Garcia and used to support family businesses. The matter will return to court for oral evidence on disputed issues later in 2026.
