A 29-year-old convicted of the 2012 Griekwastad farm murders has reportedly been granted parole after a second hearing before the Upington parole board.

He was sentenced in 2014 to 20 years for killing Deon and Christel Steenkamp and their 14-year-old daughter Marthella, and for raping the girl. His name remains protected.
