South African billionaire Johann Rupert has denied any association with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein after his name surfaced in leaked emails exchanged between Epstein and a European banker.

Rupert said he never met or communicated with Epstein and described references to him as incidental. He stressed he has always avoided people like Epstein, adding that the emails do not indicate any relationship or involvement.
