The Presidency says President Cyril Ramaphosa received the interim report of the Madlanga Commission on Wednesday 17 December 2025, and will study it while the inquiry is in recess.

The commission, chaired by retired Constitutional Court Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, probes alleged criminality and political interference in the criminal justice system. The interim report stays confidential, with hearings expected to resume in January.
