Man Arrested For Murder Of Limpopo Farmer Attie Mahne

Limpopo police have detained a 28-year-old man after the killing of 77-year-old farmer Attie Mahne during a violent attack on his farm near Baltimore in the northern part of the province at the weekend. Mahne and his wife were tied up and assaulted; he died at the scene while she survived and raised the alarm.

Police say specialised units and local farm security tracked the suspect down during an intensive search. He is expected to appear in the Senwabarwana Magistrate Court on Wednesday, while officers continue to hunt for at least one other attacker and investigate what was stolen during the robbery.
