A Johannesburg woman narrowly escaped serious injury after a knife wielding robber attacked her in Linksfield. The incident unfolded on a residential street as the suspect threatened the woman with a blade.

A passing Mercedes Benz driver intervened, using the vehicle to block the attacker and allow the woman to escape. The suspect fled and police are investigating.
